Cheryl Oates

Cheryl joined the Global Lethbridge team in April 2007 working as part of the technical crew. Since then she's worked as a videographer, producer and anchor.

Cheryl was born and raised in Lethbridge, and loves to work in a city where she feels a personal connection to the news.

Cheryl knew what she wanted to be when she grew up from a young age. Her father is a television producer and she says, watching him work made her want to be in front of the camera.

In high school Cheryl began practicing...by writing, producing and hosting 3 minute new segments. After finishing high school, Cheryl worked briefly for local radio stations, before moving to Calgary to attend SAIT. She graduated from the broadcasting program in April 2007, which is when she came to work at Global Lethbridge.
